In 1934 he started to take care of the plants and herbs books from the Institut Botànic de Barcelona, he became director of the Institut Botànic in 1939 and later he was chosen as the director of the Instituto Municipal de Ciencias Naturales.

He finished his pharmacy studies in 1932 at the University of Barcelona. He was the president of entomology section at the Museu de Ciències Naturals de Catalunya (1932-1935) and of the Museu de Zoologia de Barcelona (1935-1939). He was also a technician of the Institut Municipal de Ciències Naturals de Barcelona and of the Museu de Zoologia (1941-1966), where he became director in 1966 until 1967.

In 1929 he took care of the pharmacy established by his family in Manresa in 1787.

He finished chemistry studies in Barcelona (1908) and got his Ph.D. degree of pharmacy in 1914 in Madrid. In 1917 he became Professor of botany in the faculty of pharmacy at the Universitat de Barcelona (1917-1922),

He completed his studies in Barcelona. After returning to Mahon, he began measuring climate from the rooftop of his drugstore on Arraval street. He was also the first chemical inspector of the city’s municipal laboratory created in 1913 at the Civil Hospital, but he stood out as a meteorologist.

He got his Ph.D. degree in science (1846) and pharmacy (1846). He was a teacher of mathematics in the University of Barcelona and in the Escuela Industrial.

During a postwar period that did not encourage great discoveries, Pere Puig Muset was part of the brilliant minds who contributed to the creation of a modern pharmaceutical industry. A passionate researcher, a teacher to all those who approached him and generous in his discoveries, Puig Muset ventured to create a pharmaceutical laboratory for the creation of innovative products at a time when in Spain it was common to open laboratories to copy already established formulas.

Jaume was born in Barcelona in 1905, son of surgeon Antoni Raventós i Avinyò from the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau and nephew of the historian, architect and collaborator of Enric Prat de la Riba in the Institute for Catalan Studies (IEC), Josep Pijoan i Soteras. He did his studies of Medicine at the University of Barcelona, where was internal student of Physiology with Dr. August Pi and Sunyer. It obtained the degree in 1930 and was internal doctor, later internal teacher and assistant teacher of Human Physiology of the Department of Physiology. It defended his doctoral thesis in neurotransmitters in 1934.

Doctorate in pharmacy (1882), he practiced in Sallent and Terrassa. He made the Flora of Pla de Bages and collaborated with Joan Cadevall on the Flora of Catalonia. He was also a professor at the Industrial School of Terrassa and a prominent linguist.

She was one of the forty women who graduated between 1906 and the beginning of the Spanish Civil War at the new Faculty of Medicine on Casanova Street in Barcelona (where the current Faculty of Medicine of the University of Barcelona is found).
