Anthropologist. He was Professor of anthropology at the University of Barcelona since 1941 and rector in the same university from 1963 to 1965. He was the director of the Centro de Genética Animal y Humana del Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas.

Botanist. He finished his pharmacy studies in the University of Barcelona where he became a teacher of botany between 1924 and 1930, he got his Ph.D. degree in Madrid in 1928. He extended his studies in the University of Géneve and in the botanical Institute of Berlin-Dahlem. He contributed to the knowledge of the Spanish plants with his thesis Estudios sobre la flora y la vegetación del macizo de Mágina (1929).

Zoologist, pharmacist. He finished his pharmacy studies in 1932 at the University of Barcelona. He was the president of entomology section at the Museu de Ciències Naturals de Catalunya (1932-1935) and of the Museu de Zoologia de Barcelona (1935-1939). He was also a technician of the Institut Municipal de Ciències Naturals de Barcelona and of the Museu de Zoologia (1941-1966), where he became director in 1966 until 1967.

Daughter and granddaughter of teachers, she continued the type of open and innovative school promoted by her mother, the pedagogue Rosa Sensat i Villa. Doctor, pharmacist. Jaume was born in Barcelona in 1905, son of surgeon Antoni Raventós i Avinyò from the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau and nephew of the historian, architect and collaborator of Enric Prat de la Riba in the Institute for Catalan Studies (IEC), Josep Pijoan i Soteras. He did his studies of Medicine at the University of Barcelona, where was internal student of Physiology with Dr. August Pi and Sunyer. Geologist, geographer. He studied natural sciences in Barcelona and San Miguel de la Cámara made him being interested in geology. He collaborated with Pau Vila during fifty years. He had a geology professorship in Granada.
