Doctor, gynaecologist, politician. He studied in Barcelona together with Bartolomeu Robert and Jaume Pi. He specialised in gynaecology and in 1893 he became Professor of gynaecology at the faculty of medicine.

Doctor, bacteriologist. In 1873 he finished his studies in medicine in Barcelona. Interested in bacteriology he researched into epizootic diseases. Because of his skills in photography, he could take pictures of the bacterial cultures.

Maurici

Meteorologist, pharmacist. He completed his studies in Barcelona. After returning to Mahon, he began measuring climate from the rooftop of his drugstore on Arraval street. He was also the first chemical inspector of the city's municipal laboratory created in 1913 at the Civil Hospital, but he stood out as a meteorologist.

Botanist. He studied in Barcelona and Madrid. He got his Ph.D. degree in pharmacy. He was interested in the plant taxonomy and his work is showed in a plant book where he described a lot of new plant species from Spain, Morocco and Mauritania.

Philosopher, biologist. When he was young he signed up in the army to fight against Carlins. He started studying medicine in Barcelona in 1871, but he quitted the studies three years later.
